Minor Requirements
Communication at Cornell emphasizes the study of communication in three main areas: Science, Media, and Technology. The department offers courses in communication processes, including attitude, knowledge, behavior change, public opinion, and uses of information systems. Communication students develop applied oral and written communication skills as they learn about communication systems in society and in their own lives. The department emphasizes solving problems, sustaining the environment, reaching the public with knowledge, and managing technology.
The Minor Program of Study in Communication gives students a balanced background in communication theory and practice. The minor consists of 21 credit hours, from the following courses:
