Katherine McComas appointed vice provost for engagement and land-grant affairs

Professor Katherine McComas will be appointed vice provost for engagement and land-grant affairs by university provost Michael Kotlikoff. Her term begins July 1. In that role, she will serve as the academic lead for university-wide efforts to advance the social sciences: advocate for Cornell’s role as the land-grant university for New York state; monitor and collaborate on responses to the governor’s initiatives in higher education and economic development; and represent the university’s four contract colleges in dealings with the State University of New York, among other duties.
