Social Media Lab research into online bystander intervention

The Social Media Lab is researching ways to promote bystander intervention to cyberbullying, and a paper on the topic, “Upstanding by Design: Bystander Intervention in Cyberbullying,” will be presented in April at the Computer Human Interaction Conference. Researchers on the project include Professor Natalie Bazarova, postdoctoral researcher Dominic DiFranzodoctoral candidates Samuel Hardman Taylor and Franccesca Kazerooni, M.S. ’17, and Olivia Wherry ’16, MPS ’17.

Sue Fussell named Liberty Hyde Bailey Profesor

Sue Fussell has been named a Liberty Hyde Bailey Professor in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, effective February 1, 2018. This professorship, named in honor of the first CALS dean, is one of the most prestigious honors given by our college and the university.
