Kelli joined the Department of Communication as Assistant to the Chair in August 2014. Prior to working for the Department of Communication, she served as Program Assistant in the Special Programs and Professional Studies department of Cornell's School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions. Kelli holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wayne State University and a Master of Arts in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto. During her ten years in Toronto, she served as Manager of Publications to the Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies. She enjoys yoga, reading, and travel. Rumor has it that her favorite punctuation mark is an interrobang

In her role as the Assistant to the Chair, Kelli performs the following duties:

  • Schedules meetings and events for Department Chair
  • Coordinates/organizes faculty searches
  • Coordinates/organizes faculty reviews, reappointment, promotions, and tenure dossiers
  • Updates faculty the Department of Communication Faculty webpages
  • Produces the Department of Communication newsletter; oversees faculty PR 
  • Aides in the planning and development of department events, including COMMConnect
